Photojournalism – Portraits on the field

A class that will forever will influence the way you capture life with your camera. In today’s world, whether through digital channels, print or on exhibits, the impact, influence and reach of images has never been greater. But with so many images fighting for our attention, how do photographers create photos that most effectively stand out and connect with an audience? In this class you will learn how to create a series of portraits on the field that tell a story better than the text or write-up that usually accompanies the photos in photojournalism. You will capture relevant images that show individuals as they are and learn how not to force the situation as real emotions are always captured candidly. You will create images that have meaning and relevance to the story being told.

The class takes place Wednesdays from 7pm -10pm – May 9, 2018 – June 27, 2018.
